First, Comcast has horrible technicians. I was told I needed a new cable modem to fix one of their routing issues. So I did some research and picked this one to replace my SB6181 that was "broken". While my issue was eventually resolved, I appreciated the new hardware's interface and logging, letting me keep track of how many service interruptions I had been experiencing, which helped the last problem, and will help the eventual problems I'll have with Comcast.

The ergonomic design makes it comfortable in the hand. The intuitive layout of the buttons is awesome. The vibrating countdown timer is a great method of keeping presentations on track without a clock which can distract your audience. A great remote for anyone working towards their CTT+ certification.

In the first part, Peter Jackson whetted our appetite with glimpses of things to come. In this second part, the action gains full momentum. The lush scenery, both real and CGI, are a feast for the eyes. Having all three versions ensures you'll experience the story in more detail and wonder as you upgrade your AV equipment.

Weird Al has been cranking out the parodies for 30+ years, and despite his tenure on the scene, this album shows he's still topical and spot on with his humor. While some songs are direct parody, he also has tracks that copy the general sound of bands: To say anything more would give the fun away. This should be experienced for yourself. Soon. Like now. Buy it. NOW.

Enjoy your media with this Samsung BD-H5900/ZA Blu-ray player. To build a complete 3D home theater system, we recommend you purchase a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV, high-speed HDMI cable and an A/V receiver that is compatible with 3D products.

This is a great smart 3D Blu-ray player with one notable exception. While the DVD's look great and the Blu-rays look awesome, the online features are robust and it can connect to all other smart devices on your home network, it only has coaxial digital audio out, not digital (fiber optic) digital audio out. Fortunately, I have both connections on my receiver, and a more up-to-date receiver will process the audio even better via HDMI, it still would have been a nice option.

i have comcast internet

Will this work with my isp? Comcast?
Comcast uses a coaxial cable to provide your internet signal. This modem uses an ADSL signal. So no, this will not work for your uses.

Coax?

Does this modem+router accept a coax wire from the wall?
This is a modem/router for ADSL connections, not cable.

Is it only available in White?

White appears to be the only color available from ARRIS after they witched from the Motorola branding.

I've just got a new AC compatable router and hope this will worl ok, I'm running a 802.11AC network adapter and router now, for faster speed
This modem should provide an Internet connection to any router via it's Ethernet port.

Need to upgrade from Rented Media com modem/router.

First I am technically challenged. Does this Modem also handle wireless. meaning I wouldn't need to purchase any other equipment to pickup a WIfI signal? Also does this work with Media com in West Des Moines if so what do I need to do to activate. thank you.
The modem will only take the cable signal and allow internet access via one wired connection. You would want to connect this to a router to allow access via WiFi/built-in ethernet ports. You should contact Media Com to activate the modem on their network AFTER you verify with them that this is a compatible device.

I forgot my password the the modems web page

My password is correct, however, I can not get to the modem's web interface for troubleshooting and administration.
The modem should not have a username or password. You should be able to get to it via it's IP address. If this doesn't work, you should call ARRIS Technical Support at 1 (678) 473-5656.

I have a linksys ea6350 and I am buying a motorola arris surfboard 600 series

will I be able to run 2 HP laptops, a portable scanner, a brother mfc J870, a Samsung 60" plasma, a Samsung soundbar, a Samsung bluray dvd player, a roku3, and stream movies all at the same time, depending on the internet service? And how much Mbps will I need? Can the Linksys & Motorola handle all this? And would I hook all this up with a cable into house, then to modem, then to router, then to Ethernet, HDMI, & USB I think I have it down, but new to this networking. --Joe S.
You should be able to run all those devices just fine: The networking will really only handle the ethernet connections (your printer can connect to the Linksys' USB port.) Your scanner would connect to one of your laptops. Your TV will connect to the soundbar via stereo cables, your bluray player to your TV via HDMI, your Roku player to your TV via HDMI. Your TV, bluray may have ethernet connections, or possibly connect wirelessly. The Roku will require an ethernet connection, I'd advise via an actual cable to avoid loss of signal. The speed should be at least 15mbps to allow all the devices enough bandwidth to play nice.

Can this remote control the cursor on the screen?!?

Can this remote control the cursor on the screen?!? I know it can advance PP slides and has a great laser pointer feature but ...
It does not have the ability to control the cursor. You'd be looking for something like Microsoft's Wireless Presenter Mouse 8000, only available in the UK it seems.

does this player support 5.1 sound?

only see a digital audio output in the back. my current player has 5 output for 5.1 channel sound.
The optical audio out supports 5.1, 7.2, and 9.2 in Dolby Digital, DTS and many other audio formats. It requires a receiver with an optical audio input to deliver the sound experience. It also offers great sound via HDMI, but no option to connect directly to 5.1 as your current system.

What is the difference between the BD-H5900 and the BD-H5900ZA models?

Consumer Reports reviews and rates the model without the ZA on the end of the model number so I am just trying to figure out the difference between the two models. Thanks for any feedback.
The ZA appears on most of the Samsung products at Best Buy. Traditionally having a slightly different model allowed stores to avoid having to price match their competition because it's not an "exact model". Most of the manufacturers now have straight MSRP's they insist authorized retailers adhere to. Most retailers have loyalty programs to allow them to give price incentives.

TLDR: There is no difference. The ZA is different in model name only, not function.
