Bought this to get rid of my home phone number. Having the ability to pair with two separate cell phones is great. I don't use the answering machine function. Took off 1 star for mediocre sound quality over Bluetooth

I bought the vivosmart for two reasons: to replace my watch and to track my activity to help lose that stubborn 10 pounds.
Setup: The setup was a bit of a pain as it had trouble pairing with my Droid Turbo running Kit Kat. Once I had it paired, it still had the occasional issue. I found that cycling the phone's bluetooth would fix things. I have also noticed that my phone will not pair with my Prius unless I turn off the vivosmart bluetooth.
Use: As a watch I find it to be decent. I have turned on the display on movement feature so I don't have to double tap it all the time. I have been following the vivosmart advice and move when it reminds me I have been sitting too long. I don't know or care how accurate the step count is, as long as it is consistent, which I have found it to be. I have also thrown on my heart rate monitor and gone on a few walks. It does a good job at tracking my steps and my heart rate, producing a nice graph on the Garmin Connect web site.
Biking: I was hoping to use this as a quick glimpse at my almost daily rides, but alas the vivosmart and my ANT+ speed sensor (Bontrager brand) do not work unless there are less than a foot apart. Needless to say I have disabled the speed tracking function and leave the vivosmart at home during rides.
Phone Integration: I must say I really like the phone notification feature. A quick glimpse at the vivosmart let's me know if there is something I need to immediately address. I big plus during meetings.
Overall I am really enjoying the device and would recommend it to someone that wants more than a lower end fitbit, but less than an Apple watch.

I use this speaker to play music in my garage and the bathroom. It has decent sound and good volume. It paired very easily with my phone. My only issue, is the volume control. To me it seems backward. When looking at the top of the speaker, you turn it clockwise to turn down the volume.

Does the Vivosmart with heart rate monitoring require a seperate strap/band or do you still have just the Vivosmart tracker only
You need an ANT+ HRM strap.

Does watch measure cycling activity/distance?
I am a 60-something male whose primary form of exercise is cycling. Does the Garmin watch measure distance traveled?
Only if your bicycle is equipped with an ANT+ speed sensor, like the Garmin GSC-10 (which has a cadence sensor as well, but the vivosmart only pairs with the speed sensor).
