I was skeptical about purchasing this remote control because I am not technologically savvy at all. However, the salesperson talked me into buying it, and boy am I glad I did! Before owning this remote, I had one for the TV, one for my Bose Cinemate Home Theater speaker system, and last but not least one for the DVR. When the Geek Squad came to hook-up my new Sony TV they programmed the remote for me, too. And because the remote has the capacity to program up to 8 devices, they programmed my PS3, too. The only downside is that I have to operate the PS3 with the controller, e.g., when watching a DVD and I want to pause or fast forward, etc. But really that's no big deal neither. It's SO cool how you can just pick it up and it automatically will have two choices appear, i.e., WATCH SMART TV & WATCH TV on the screen. The SMART TV mode is all of your apps, internet, etc. Then you can push a button right under the screen where it has all your devices listed and take your pick!! Trust me when I tell you, you can't go wrong with this purchase. It's definitely worth the money! Logitech has some of the best products you can buy. I made a very good choice if I must say so myself! I even purchased a Logitech wireless mouse for my laptop a few years ago that can be used on any surface and it's been great!

I had a 48"Sony LED in my living room over the fireplace, but it was too small for the mount that was already there from the previous owners. I've always been a fan of Sony TVs and found the 55KDL700B and waited to get it at a good price. Boy oh boy!! I had the Geek Squad come and mount it on the preexisting mount and it's perfect!! The picture is perfect which I had no doubt because it's a Sony. Definitely worth the money, which wasn't bad at all I must say!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Are there buttons for everything common?
I was looking at it carefullly in the local B.B. and I couldn't see buttons for thing like: Return (back), Recall (previous channel) CC or the vrious 8 devices. The Sony 8-Device unit has these at less than half the price. What gives?
Yes, it does. The reason you didn't see the buttons for Return (back), Recall (previous channel), etc. is because they're symbols. To go back to the previous channel you were watching there's a horizontal arrow that hooks around. In order to see the devices you have to program them into the remote first. Read my review dated 5/1/15. The Geek Squad guy programmed mine for me when they came and hooked-up my new Sony TV. He explained how everything worked and what I could and couldn't do with it and the only thing I can't do is operate my PS3 with the fast forward, reverse buttons, etc. He explained to me that I would have to use the controller, but as far as turning it on and off, i.e., the PS3, I can do that. The remote is seriously the TRUTH!!! As far as the cost is concerned I didn't spend over $60.00 for it, which I think was great. They do have a more expensive one though that may be a bit more sophisticated. I can operate this universal remote exactly like I operated each remote I had for the individual devices I had. It's great and you won't go wrong if you purchase it. Believe me it's worth it especially if you have to use 3 different remotes like I did before I brought this one.
