I am an outdoor enthusiast. I exercise ( either gym, run, bike, swim, rock climb, hike etc) one to two times a day / 7 days a week. I thought the habits would be fun , but they mostly just involve walking and sleep. The step count is not super accurate either. The company states the heart rate monitor does not always work, but I rarely felt it was correct. If you are someone who wants to start an exercise regimen and isn't normally very active, I could see this watch as a way to encourage you to get up and move! For the most part, I would recommend just using a heart rate with strap that will more precisely monitor calories burned during exercise. I feel like this watch it just an over priced step counter. I have a small wrist also and the face hangs off my wrist making it awkward and catch on things. I returned the product after two weeks of daily use hoping that it would get better ... It didn't.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: All the ease of my MacBook Pro, easy set up
What's not so great: Product is expensive
I love my track pad. I use it with my Mac mini and it gives me all the ease of my MacBook. It works perfectly and I have had no problems with the product! I love Mac products, even though they are more expensive I do not experience any problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does it track steps and calories burned accurately for ellipticals?

I have a Precor AMT (commercial machine) and I have a fitbit. My fitbit only seems to count every other step. I don't see these fitness trackers ever say anything in their descriptions about ellipticals. Please advise. Thanks!
No. I even had trouble tracking steps on a stair machine. It is not super accurate on step counting overall, therefore the calories reported by the watch are not accurate. The heart rate works sporadically which also contributes to inaccurate calorie tracking.

Does it tell time?

I'm not familiar with fitness watches. In addition to the fitness features does this device also tell time like a conventional watch?
Yes. The backlight is dim on the face, but once you tilt your wrist (as if you were checking the time) the face brightens.
