This was a Black Friday deal. It was advertised only as Beats Studio and the boxes were placed close to the Studio3 display in the store. Instead of being Studio3s they were older Studio2s.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've looked for a long time for a scanner that would do justice to our old wedding photos (35 mm). This is the second one that has done it and the other was a dedicated film scanner. This scanner actually does a better job than that one. Love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you scan 4 or 5 small photos at the same time?

Will each photo be made into an individual file?
I'm not sure what you mean by photos. You can scan 4 35-mm slides at once.

Will the unit work with Windows 8.1?

Windows 8.1

Is this scanner compatible with 64bit Windows 8.1? My old Epson scanner doesn't have a 64bit driver or I would still be using it.
Yes - I've been using it for a couple of months now with Windows 8.1 64-bit.
