What's great about it: Sound quality is amazing, very loud and super compact
What's not so great: A little expensive, would like another optical input
This was a supplement to my Samsung TV and it works very well. I went from a 3/2 house to an appartment and needed to downsize. The sound is clear and the bass is powerfull. The controls are easy and pairing with devices is simple. I probably won't be able to use it's full potential but it's nice to know that it is very capable. I run all connections through the TV and out the optical conection to the optical on the soundbar. It runs my apple TV, BR and normal channels with ease.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you hook an ipod up and play through it?

I did through the Aux input which is a headphone jack. you just change the input via the remote.
