This was a replacement for the phone service DSL Modem. The old one was just tired from years of service. This Netgear is an excellent replacement. It can be placed in an upright position to take up less space. It has built in security which is far better than the old Modem. My security software has not shown any attacks since this Modem was installed in a few easy steps.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can I connect with a phone type connector?

My DSL service comes as a phone type connector, not a Coaxial cable connector. Can I connect to this modem?
My DSL service uses a phone line type connection and works with Verizon.
