Is the sim card holder for wifi 4g services such as verizon?

I see alot of can i use this as a phone questions sinse it has a sim card. I dont think it can.
My question is If there is a sim card holder, is it for adding a tablet to my verizon account. My galaxy 2 cant be linked to verizon wifi services.. can the tab 3 be linked sinse i dont see verizon or ATT models?

you cannot open the battery cover, so no sim card capability and it is wifi only so you cannot connect it to a cell phone plan.
