I use this only for Netflix and streaming from a Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5.
I have not had connectivity issues so far. I have been using for about a month. You control the play/stop etc from you mobile device.
For my needs it has been great. I did read some negative reviews, but for me it has worked great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the HDMI Streaming USB really enhance the WiFi signal to my HDTV ??

I will be purchasing a new HDTV with WiFi ready, my Wifi in the place I live has terribly low signal strength.
Chromecast streams content from your mobile device/computer to the TV via the HDMI adapter. If you don't have good signal to the cell phone for example, you won't be able to stream it.
Chromecast is different from Roku for example.

NON-HDTV CONNECTOR/ADAPTOR PLUG

I have an older model t.v. that don't have a USB plug. It does have the plugs fot hooking up my dvd player. My dvd player "DOES HAVE" 2 usb plugs. 1 on the back & 1 on the front. The back says "output", the fronts doesn't say anything. I can plug my dvd player into the t.v.. Can I run my CHROME CAST through the DVD-usb slots & run it like that, or is there a plug that converts from the YELLOW & WHITE PORTS on the t.v. to a usb in order to plug in chrome cast?? I am disabled & can,t afford an HDTV w/HDMI ports??
You need a TV with HDMI connector. The USB is just for power.
You do not need USB, but you must have HDMI input on the TV.
It comes with a wall charger to power the Chromecast device.
