Repeatedly Unpairs from Phone

I think this might have something to do with moving my phone out-of-range of the headset. When I come back into range, instead of reestablishing the connection, the bluetooth unpairs from my phone entirely. Extremely frustrating! I've tried it with two iPhones and it does it with both phones. Any suggestions?
Think it maybe your phones settings.. my galaxy s5 always reconnects when I move back in range
