Will this replace a Phillips FTR 9955 Receiver and receive regular cable

I have an old Panasonic Plasma with a Phillips receiver that broke. I need to buy a new receiver, that connects to regular cable and will work on the old plasma monitor. Will this work well- or do I need to purchase something else.
my tv is Panasonic 2008 and work great ! good luck ..
