Bought this for my daughter, she loves it and is doing some great drawings and sketches on it.

Will this pad work with GIMP?

Yes, my Daughter uses GIMP as her primary drawing application with this tablet, works fine.

Is this tablet worth the money?

I want to know before I buy or save money to buy it. Will it last long?
From a novices perspective, this is a great little tablet. Not very expensive and well worth it. The "nibs" on the pens need to to be replaces when the wear down. My 14 year old daughter uses it every day and she has never indicated that she is having any technical issues with it. The nibs don't last very long, this may depend on how hard you press down. Just asked here, she has used up almost three nibs in just over a month.
