Awesome dryer with steam feature. Lightly soiled items can be steam cleaned which has reduced how many trips I make to the dry cleaners.

How does the steam in this model dryer work?

Does it need a water line from the washer, or is there a container in the dryer that gets filled with water as needed?

There is a chamber for water in the upper left corner (where detergent would be on the washer). Resist the temptation to put other chemicals in this water chamber. I tried a couple of drops of fabric softener, to enhance smell, and ended with water coming out of the dryer. It clogged the steam ports. The service technician suggested dryer sheets with the steam feature for the same effect.
