I asked a question about the chrome cast working with other streaming sites but I forgot to mention that I have a Microsoft surface RT tablet and some apps like the chrome browser won't download on it. It is one thing I am disappointed with this tablet for..... pretty much the only thing really, there are other things it won't allow me to download but that is the only one o can think of that pertains to this. Would it still be ideal for me to purchase the chrome cast?
you still can cast from netflix direct or browser, works great with smartphones like iphone or androids, you don't need a tablet or laptop at all.
