Just needed a basic DVD player at a good price and this was the best deal for the money. The HD upconversion is nice and older movies look a lot better. Highly recommended for the money.

Audio Question

If i run the HDMI out for video, Can I still run the L/R audio to my receiver? I have an HDTV but it doesn't have a L/R audio out, and my receiver doesn't have an Digital audio input.

Yes. I bought this DVD player for a friend and that's exactly how I had to hook it up for him. He has an older receiver just like you.
