Amazon Kindle fire - does it have Ads?

My daughter requested I purchase a Kindle Fire that does not have Ads on it. Does this?
the one I got my Daughter does have them. It is no big deal because i have to put a code in for her to get anything and she is also in free time or something like that most of the time
