I returned a different Aux cable, because it stopped working after a week. This Aux cable didn't work in my car when I played one song from my phone with it. I don't know if the cable didn't work because of the sub in my car, but it didn't work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Chromecast is a pretty cool device. The streaming doesn't need time to buffer or anything. You can even steam video and audio of videos in webpages.

Would like to know if it's computable to play off a droid razor Maxx to the car aux port?

You're question's a little confusing. If you're asking if it's possible to play audio from a Droid RAZR MAXX in your car through the Aux port, it is, because I had that phone and I did that everyday. I might be wrong, but I think it's possible to play audio from any device through the Aux port. I haven't had one that didn't.
