This is the easiest and least expensive way to speed up a laptop. You won't believe how much faster your laptop will run until you see it for yourself. Plus, your laptop will run much cooler.

For Laptops?

Do I have to buy something special to use it with my Desktop? I would buy the desktop version, but only Samsung direct has it, and its $50 more.

I have a iBuyPower computer, currently running a 128GB SSD. Wondering if the "for laptops" means anything.
This SSD uses standard SATA power and data connections and is downward compatible with SATA 2. I would say YES it will work with your desktop. I put them in desktops all the time.
