Coming from a generation one IPad this is a great upgrade and has plenty of speed.My only concern is about the limited memory. I usually keep most of the bulk on my iPhone, so I'm hoping in a year I won't be running out of memory.

easy to install?

I do no have all the computer smarts.can a woman install this or. Do I need a tech?
Easy peasy! Comes with all the directions you need to get moving! Just follow directions!

Does it work with Time Warner phone service?

I have TV, Internet, & phone. Can it work with all three services?
It hooks up directly to your cable. All you need is a free cable line to hook up to or split off one your lines at the tv. It will work with all three services and you won't have to pay rent for a time warner modem!

Does the unit have a switch to disable the wifi when not in use?

I don't think so. Mine is placed in a spot where it is hard to reach. Could try using a power supply with a on and off switch. When powered back on it will reset and start connecting devixes familiar with it.
