This is my second buy for the Ring Set, I have a total of 1 Ring doorbell and 2 Ring - Chimes.

I originally bought the Ring doorbell with a Chime so I could hear the door bell on the 4th floor thinking it would work with my existing doorbell hardware. But after a few months, the Ring doorbell stopped working. To fix my issue the Ring Support Team sent me a bypass to keep my Ring device powered and this second Ring - Chime so I can hear the doorbell in place of the existing one.

I would recommend this product to other. I enjoy that fact I can connect to the WiFi and that it alerts me when someone is at the first door without hardwiring through you the house.

I bought this for my townhouse and am very happy with the devices. I did have some major issues setting up the connection via wifi and had to call Nest for help, a first. To date, 2 months, no issue with connections and am able to not only control the smoke alarm but also able to control my thermostats.

Not sure but for some reason the setup for this was slow compared to other Linksys routers. But after day 1 my stuff seems to be doing well with wifi connections.

Note: 4-floor townhouse with about 20 wireless devices connecting to the router at all time of the day. So far, I am happy.

My house is already hardwired with First Alert Smoke/Carbon detectors. I was informed I would have to go with the same brand and model otherwise they would not work. So will I be able to replace one of these with a Nest wired? Will the others go off too?

hi, I would say yes. The only thing I have noticed is that the Nist does not go off if the First Alert Smoke does and the same the other way.

the software that is included with this UPS i believe its called powerchute, once we plug the usb in from the APC UPS to the desktop computer and the software installs, do we have to keep the usb plugged in at all times for the software to work properly?

Brian, if you plan to use the UPS software then yes you need to have it plugged in with provided cable.
