What's great about it: Very fast USB3
I use this for the virtual machines that I use for school. This allows me to run virtual machines and not eat up my laptops battery like the external hdd

What's great about it: Good Construction, Great keyboard
What's not so great: would like to have SSD
This makes my family's second Lenovo laptop and both are in the yoga line, I am very pleased with the construction of the laptop and to be able to get it for 500 is a bargain.
This product is... A touch pad that works great, A nice compact size, easy to set up

Is the mechanical hard drive upgrade-able by the user?
I have a spare 64GB SSD and would like to install that.
it is not recommended that you replace it. that being said Lenovo offers a maintenance guide on their website if you are inclined to work on it.

What is the life expectancy of the battery (in years)?
I am considering the 11.6 Yoga 2 model and the Sony 14 inch 2 in 1 i3 tablet. I am trying to see which will be the better buy in the long run.
Depends on person and what you are going to use it for. I tend not to like sony products their hardware is good but the software tends to be poor quality. Lenovo products are good built and I like the fact that they do not usually include too much software that I don't need. Both sony and Lenovo products are well built. The yoga is more portable and flexable while the sony offers a bigger screen.

Upgrading and slow labtop
This is my second Lenovo Yoga 2 11 in 48 hours. The other I took back because frankly it crashed. My current one I am attempting to upgrading windows and it is so so slow. I have never seen something run this slow. I left it on all night to upgrade and it is still going and saying 0%. The sales person told me there is a prompt or something that says to upgrade to windows 8.1, where is that? I am thinking of returning this product, unless I can get some answers. It also keep disconnecting from the wifi at home that I have never had a problem with. I love the durability and feel of this computer but out of the box is not working to my satisfaction. Please help.
Windows 8.1 you can find in the app store on the laptop. if you have low speed on you internet service than speed issues is probably due to it downloading updates in the background.

Battery Life
How many hours can I anticipate usage on a full charge??
we have not had a problem with battery life though I hear it will last 5-6 hours but it always depends on what you are doing with it

I'm confused - on the Lenovo website the yoga 2 11 comes with a hybrid hard drive, but the one on the best buy website does not - is that correct?

Why the system clock always slow down?
The system clock always slow down after hours of use. I searched up on the internet, it seems like the battery for CMOS need to be replaced. Is that common for NEW machines? Can BestBuy fix it for me?
it is possible that the cmos battery is bad if it is new I would just see if they would exchange it for a new one.

you can connect it with any printer. with a wifi printer it should connect to a router then any computer on the network can access it
