What's great about it: Covers touch screen

Good enough screen protection but it only covers the touch screen. It does not cover the entire face or any of the sides.

What's great about it: Camera feature is very useful.
What's not so great: Bland design and poor user interface.
Set-up is easy enough. The speakers do not work so great. The camera required snap shot sound is annoying but I understand it's purpose. Voice or "S Voice" needs a lot of development; not useful at all. "S Voice" fails to recognize speech and names. At times the screen fails to turn on when flipped towards my face.
It's a good attempt to up the tech but it doesn't work as intended. A lot of effort has to be put into it so that it can function semi-decently. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. I don't even use it anymore; it's just charging all the time.

Can you go for a run with the galaxy gear smart watch and leave galaxy note 3 home?
I like to use runtastic but feel the note 3 is to large to exercise with. I think the smart watch would be a great purchase if it will still track my workout without physically having the note 3 on my run. Is that possible?
Yes. You can use the watch without bring the phone along. You can not make calls or text but you can still use the pedometer and all the other features.
