What's great about it: Android OS lots of apps
What's not so great: the program is glitchy and you have to pay for most apps
I love doing research when it comes to buying something I love doing research when it comes to buying something and with the internet and makes it so much easier. So when it was time to buy smart watch I did a lot of research and the first one to come up was SmartWatch pebble. This is a review for the sony smart  watch 2 just comparing it to the pebble and the galaxy gear.  Pebble is well known as one of the better smart watches to buy, in some ways it is better than Sony smart watch 2 (SSW2) it has superior battery life a lot more rugged design and a better price tag at $150. However they were main reasons that I could not get that watch one for being high tech watch that talks to my phone its a black and white screen also it does not have a touch screen. On the other hand it does have one of the longest run times on a single charge of any of the smart watches so you're basically getting high tech/low tech. The Galaxy gear however has a big screen is touched but its not waterproof which is weird for watch secondly you have to charge it everyday, the galaxy is unmistakable it's a giant watch with a big  screen and a camera on the wrist band. SSW 2 watch if you look at it you would not know you're looking at a Smart Watch you can't say that about the Galaxy Gear it's clearly something else. I've had my watch for at least a month and I love it it should be known that the program is glitchy and you have to pay for a lot of apps especially good ones but if you refuse to pay for them to watch can still be functional. Some of the higher end apps  like that web browser you do have to pay for, not that I would recommend using web browser on such a small screen if you have a phone in your pocket. It should be noted the programming for the watch is glitchy at the core so everything else is going to be a little glitchy to but this is the issue you'll get with almost all the smart watches. It should also be noted that one of better features of the Gear is that you can talk on it as a phone however that only is cool on TV when you do it in real life you're in speaker mode which means you're not having a conversation with your watch you have a conversation with everyone. I love my Sony SmartWatch 2 I feel is competitively priced considering its features and it feels like a watch that talks to my phone unlike the galaxy gear that feels like a crossbreed of a watch and the phone with a price tag of a cell phone to match

I would recommend this to a friend!
