This is a solid WiFi Router. Highly recommend it. It's my go to router for small businesses and homes. Durable and works well. Normal life span is about 2 years which is typical of most routers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Why is this router throttling my data?

If I run a speed test through my modem, I get 100+mbps download. If I run a test through the ethernet port on my router, I can't get above 20mbps. Firmware is up to date and it is the only device on the network. Please help.
I have never seen this router throttle down. Usually its the ISP that is doing the control of the throttle. If you are using the gigabit ports with a gigabit ethernet card on your PC, you should be able to run the 100+mbps. I have known ISPs that will sense downloads that are large and do an initial burst of the max speed and then throttle down after about 30 secs.

Signal strength thru walls, multilevel home

Ii have insulated walls, multilevel home. Will this router penetrate at least two walls?
As an I.T. person, I'm going to tell you it depends. Usually on where you put the router. If you can put it in the center of the house, you'll get better results. Remember that these routers have about a 300 ft circumference, so measure 300ft out in any direction, and that's the coverage area . The more walls it has to go through, the quicker the signal strength is going to go down.

how easy is it to set up for an old man like me?

Not a the smartest tech guy but not the dumbest so just wondering how much work goes into setting my network up for my hpstream tablet, thanks
Pretty easy. The DVD included will walk you through it but if you've had any experience plugging in a router, it's no different. If you aren't comfortable configuring it using a browser, the DVD will help you get the WiFi setup and secured.
