Band of Brothers [Blu-ray] [6 Discs]
From executive producer Tom Hanks, the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers tells the story of a collection of soldiers from the 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Armed Forces, also known as "Easy Company", during World War II. The ten-episode story spans from 1942 during the group's training to the conclusion of fighting in Europe, and focuses on the experiences and tribulations of the individuals fighting for the Stars and Stripes in addition to important events such as D-Day and the liberation of Holocaust survivors. The series features stars including Damian Lewis (Homeland), Ron Livingston (Office Space), Donnie Wahlberg and Michael Fassbender.

This is the story that follows a group of Soldiers of the 101st Airborne from enlistment to the end days of WW2. It is one of the best and should be required for all High school age kids to watch. Coupled with "The Pacific" mini-series it gives one of the best insights into the experience of War a person can attain.

This is a great and well produced story of the involvement of US Marines in the Pacific Theater during World War Two. While it is well written and produced in similar fashion, the storyline is not as involved as the Band Of Brothers storyline. I would Highly Recommend this to anyone that wishes to understand the sacrifice and in many cases why those that have experienced war first hand come back so changed. I have known many veterans that prefer not to discuss their time in battle and this particular movie gives a small glimpse as to why.

The first go round of getting a wearable tech tracker I purchased both a Samsung Gear 2 (the skinny one) and a Fitbit HR. I found the Fitbit charged quicker and lasted longer. The Fitbit allowed me to sync a set of scales for weighing and combine them into the tracking software more easily than the Samsung. When the second generation HR2 came out, I grabbed it and have enjoyed all of the advancements. It syncs more reliably and looks much more polished than the previous model. The looks, hardened screen and power monitoring are a great improvement over the first generation. It is a lot lighter and not as bulky as the Samsung and uses the same software as the first generation, which made it a snap to get up and running. The sleep tracking is much improved and has been just as helpful as the step and exercise tracking. I purchased an additional stainless band as a way to dress it up for a more formal look when out on the town and it swaps out really easy. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in a fitness tracker.

We needed to replace our semi-built in Kenmore microwave and this model was the perfect fit. It can be a big challenge to be able to use the existing face/surround finishing plate, this model allowed us to not need the $200 accessory. Everything lined up exactly and the keypad layout was very similar. The oven itself works great and the features are all well executed. The other key to this model working for us comes from the way it fits our kitchen decore. I think the company made a very cleaver decision to have this in their lineup. We also like the interior color since it hides some of the steam spills that occurs on the inside surfaces when cooking.

I held out in hope that the rumors were true about the new Galaxy S7 and wow! I was going to get the regular S7 phone and not the Edge until the person at the store showed me what the Edge could do. The second gen Edge really adds value with this feature set. I keep up with certain Stocks and the Edge feature is super at letting me get a quick look at the markets.
The Memory card feature was the other point that I have waited for and when the unit came out I bought that week. This will enhance the VR use greatly. I got a ballistix case and have thoroughly enjoyed my new phone for the past month. Highly, Highly recommend this Phone and the Edge feature.

I had my eye on this for some time and was able to purchase as a Floor model. I was torn between the LG and Sony until I read the reviews for the Sony. I wanted the 3D feature and especially the passive 2D-3D capability. I have now had the TV for over a month and enjoy it greatly. True 3D is Fabulous and very Enjoyable. 2D - 3D conversion works, but watching a Blue Ray cast in 3D is the best. The Folks at Best Buy were great to work with and helped in my decision. Since this was a floor model I did get the 5 year extended warranty. The other driving force for the LG and in particular this model was that it has the forthcoming HDR technology covered and so I felt that I would be future proofing my purchase. What is HDR? It deals with the way the Color and Contrast will be handled in the TV's coming down the line. There are 2 versions (think Beta vs VHS battle) and LG will handle both. The blacks are black and watching sports is so very, very nice (no Pixelation so far)! There are many settings on the TV menu and so getting the picture to where you like is most possible. I chose this over OLED and Curved for the Value with Curved only as a gimmick and OLED way more money for same features. Word of caution: Take Measurements of the room and how far (everyone) will be sitting from the Screen. Note: close to the TV is just as important as far since you are usually not the only person watching. Once you have your distance from the TV, google best screen size calculators on what will work best for your room remembering that the largest may not be the best for your application. I work in the Audio Video field for a large Commercial AV integrator.

This is my second Vizio TV that I use as a Computer monitor since I wear glasses and am over 60 (Yes, I have two side- by-side). I tried others and also 4K/UHD versions (because of the processing needed the computer mouse has a very slow response across the screen on the 4K units), but the 1080P works best and Vizio has a setting for computer use that allows great interaction. Normally with my 23" monitors I would need to wear my reading glasses and move the screen close, but with the 40-43 inch TV's I can place them near the edge of the desk or wall mount them and just view them normally with my regular glasses on and not use bifocals. It makes using my computer and reading the screen very natural. I highly recommend this unit for this purpose since it allows me to view the screen in a more natural way. At the very least you should try it, worse case you have to either take it back or use it as a TV in the bedroom.

If you have Passive 3D as a feature on your TV these should work regardless of brand.

If you have Passive 3D as your feature on the TV these should work regardless of brand.

Is there any on off buttons on this tv. Where are they? My remote doesn't work and I want to turn my tv on manually. How do I do that? No switch???
As you are facing the TV you should have a button on the back located in the lower left corner approx. 4 inches from the bezel.

where are the dual speakers located?
I had a diifferent brand tv with the speakers located on the back and the sound was horrible!

Can I mirror image with my iPhone or iPad ?
I'm not an Apple person and only have a iPad3, but if your iPhone allows you to mirror on other devices and you have a way to use the HDMI input on the TV the answer should be yes.
