do you have to wait hours for the movie to download?

We have an apple tv. Bought movies for our granddaughters to watch. The movies are actually taking 24 hours to download. Needless to say, they can't watch the movies and I'm out several $$ for movies I rented and won't watch.
There's no downloading. It streams. Instant.

Is this device compatible with TIVO?

I have Amazon Prime and Netflix and currently stream movies through my TIVO. Would I still be able to do that?
I'm pretty sure it is. I have ATT U-Verse and didn't have a problem. As long as you have an open USB port, it should work. It's a stand alone and just connects with a USB cable to your TV. Hope this helps.
