I can finally cook food in the basement. You have to make sure there's space around both sides for venting though and it takes a few minutes for the coils to cool down. Store bought, frozen pizzas fit in it. And the airfry makes frozen fries crispy. You're not going to get the same crispyness as a regular toaster because the heating element is different, but it still toasts fine.

When you're scanning pictures, most automatically loaded scanners are extremely harsh on photographs. This one is much more gentle with photos and designed specifically to scan, process, and name sets of photos. I presume that's what makes this scanner expensive.
I expect preservable photo scans for large sets of photos. They are not high definition, hand processed photos, however. That requires that you scan the photo on a flatbed at a high resolution and then process it with a program like Adobe (I use ACDSee).
You put in your photos, set your naming parameters on the interface screen (I don't use the harware buttons), and hit the scan button. It can scan one side, or both. You can have it scan the back if it detects any writing or printing to preserve a back scan with its front -- excellent for true archiving.
Pictures with the sky at the top do tend to have a couple of slight verticle lines from it. I presume it's because the glass isn't perfectly clean. You should clean the glass every time to get the cleanest possible image I've found. Just get a glass wipe like the one I use for eye glasses that come in individual packs and rub the two glass surfaces and let them dry.
The numbering system at it's most complete setting gives you a number with a name set (like Christmas1999), then uses "a" for the enhanced photo, and "b" for the back of the photo. You get something like Christmas1999_001, Christmas1999_001a, Christmas1999_001b. In the browser that comes with the program you can click a button to see the original scan, or the enhanced version, or both. You can't do this in other picture viewers. If you find you want to rename pictures, it is cumbersome because you can't just mass rename if you want to preserve the front, enhanced, and backside nomenclature.
My main problem is that you can only scan in JPEGS, which is a lossy format (i.e. you lose information when you resave it under another name). I've read that there is a way to trick the scanner into saving into another file format, but I'm fine with jpegs because I consider my scans as digital thumbnails. If I really want a better scan of a picture, I will scan it on a flatbed scanner in a lossless format like TIFF. I think the hard part is mass scanning after organizing the photos. Once I can see all of the photos digitally, I can go back and scan individually.
Price is the biggest hurdle in purchasing this product -- $600. But to get pictures delicately scanned, there isn't any other cheaper alternative. You can scan each picture by hand, but that's extremely tedious. This does it quickly, efficiently, with an excellent naming system.

They say 3.1 flash drives are faster than 3.0, so I bought one. It sits practically flush with the edge of my XPS 13 laptop so I don't have to remove it when put it in its sleeve. I use it to back up my important docs without having to drag out another external drive when I'm on the road. I hate having these documents on the cloud.
One problem is that it heats up when it's doing heavy transfers. I had another small USB drive like this before and you really can't avoid it because there's nowhere for the generated heat to go. So I'll take it out right after and hold it between my fingers to dissipate the heat. For 128 GB, it's got enough memory for me to be just drop stuff on it at will.

I thought the end would stick in closer to the body of my laptop so that I could keep it in my sleeve while it was stowed, but it sticks out too much and is a bit shaky which makes me think it might damage my port. Also, it gets hot pretty quickly since there isn't any a longer nub to dissipate the heat.

3.0/128 GB of memory. These are the gold standard for flash cards these days. Speed and capacity. For the $32 I spend, I had another card to use for the tons of video footage that I need to move from one computer or to store. It's a tool, never a permanent storage solution, so I pick up extra flash cards when they're cheap. No problems with this card so far.

Why is it only 120GB when you plug the drive in?
I opened the package and plugged it into my USB 3.0 drive and it only reads 120GBs.

Some of the in any flash card memory is always used to enable the device. If you buy a 128 SSD computer, you won't have 128 GB of storage because some is used to run the computer. How much storage should be actually necessary for a simple device like a flash card? I don't know, but when you look at capacity in GBs, you never get the full amount.
