I purchased this tv for a retired gentleman.
It has 1 HDMI that I used to connect the cable box. Very easy to set up except the new cable box activation which had nothing to do with the LG tv.

Shop around, these are in the 900 MHz range and I'm only 8 feet away from the headphone base. My router is 7 feet away from the headphone base and 7 feet to the right and forward from where I set.

Yes, using a digital optical cable if the speaker system has this option. I
I recomend a YAS-203 sound bar which comes with a wireless subwoofer.
