Earlier Version

We have this remote which we bought around 5 years ago. It is glitchy and does not work well to say the least. Looking on all the websites, it seems that this remote is one of the best universals out there. Has anyone had an earlier version of this model and noticed improvements with this one? Could we have just gotten a lemon? I am hesitant to buy the same model since we have had so much trouble with our current one. Thanks!

No. Mine is a pain also. It causes all the problems I have viewing my TV. Don't dare drop it either or start from the beginning
