What's great about it: Best on shelf for that price, cleans carpet as well as dyson
What's not so great: The hose is not like a Dyson, bulky
This is kind of a bulky vacuum. So it would be a pain to clean stairs and move it around if you have a big house and weak little trex arms. Fortunately I live in a 1000sq ft apartment and my arms are strong like ox. I had a Dyson before and it was only good for maneuverability. The hose extended really well and turned like a f1 racer. But this one is old fashion and the hose BLOWS but it works. Another thing I don't like is when you use the hose the spinners don't stop. A good vacuum will turn it off cause it can mess up your carpet. I just changed the setting to high carpet. But it has a WASHABLE hepa filter and dirt catcher that dumped from the bottom like a Dyson. That's all I needed cause I'm no pretty princess. DON'T GO CHEAPER the red devil blows! Oh and this has a retractable cord something the Dyson DOESNT have! I'm dreading the day it breaks... but it works well now! hehehe
This product is or has... An easy to change bag, Enough suction that a single-pass does the job, easy to empty, A great pet hair picker upper, Long enough cord, Allergy filtration does the job

Does the vacuum swival?

I purchased the Hoover air pro wind tunnel and it is very hard to maneuver, especially the hand tools for above floor cleaning. Is the WindTunnel 2 Rewind Upright Vacuum - Blue any easier to manage?
Not sure about your previous one but this one moves like a standard vacuum not like a Dyson at all. It's very square. But I don't mind. I agree with the hand tools. The hose SUCKS probably what I miss most about the Dyson

What gives with the Hoover wind Tunnel bag upright??

How much does this vacuum weigh? I am miffed that I bought a hoover wind tunnel upright in Aug.2006. On March 26, 2007 had to have the belt and the on off switch replaced. Now Dec. 2013 and the switch is not working like in 2007,. Can't believe that these vacuums have this trouble. Am really questioning whether to buy another hoover if our repair dealler says it would cost more than it would be to out and out replace it. Vacuum one large living room per week or as needed!!
The on/off button sucks its in the worst position in the middle back hidden right?? Anyways I've only had this one for two months and works well for what it's worth ($100) . I had a Dyson before so this is probably 2x heavier and bulky. But gets the job done
