On their own there just a regular led bulb. Actually a little expensive for a led bulb. But add a Philips Hue Bridge and voila! Let the magic begin!. I have these in use inside and out. On the back porch I have one that turns on at sunset and turns off at sunrise. In the living room they are programmed to turn on at 6:30 am (when my wife gets up) and go off at 7:30 am when she leaves. It then turns back on just before she gets home. When it's bedtime I can either turn them off or set them to be a nightlight with a single voice command. Kinda like having auto on lights on your vehicle. You just don't have to think about them anymore!

I picked up 3 of these for my Mom's house. She was having a problem with where her light switches are. When it was time to go to bed and she turned off lights in the front part of the house, it was too dark for her to comfortably walk to the bedroom. Now she leaves the lights on until she gets in bed and then just tells Alexa to Turn off the lights! Problem solved!

Is it easy to assemble?
Yes it was fairly easy. Instructions seemed pretty well complete. The only thing we got confused about was the piece that swivels. It did not move when pushed slightly so we were looking for a hex wrench to fit it. There wasn't one included to fit that particular hex screw. All other hex wrenches that were needed were included. As it turns out, you don't loosen that one. It is meant to be a little hard to swivel. Once I swiveled it once with a little force, it moved as expected. Took my daughter and I about 30 min. to assemble. Once completed, remember to level the unit using the screw feet. Unit is a bit heavy but very stable. We were very pleased.

I have AT&T dsl. Best buy apparently only sells modem routers with no wifi for $60 or with wifi for $200 with nothing in between price wise. Im wondering if I can buy the netgear dsl modem and then buy this wifi router. can the two be used togerher?
