Sadly my Samsung S5 died. I miss it so. This phone has had issues with people not being able to hear me. Echoing on my end which is annoying as heck. I have trouble getting the letters and numbers to come up that are on the curved part of the screen. And what's super annoying is how it changes words to things that are not even close to the word I typed, nor do they make sense. Costs way too much for all these issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our neighbors gave us their password for their internet, before I purchased this we could hardly get a decent signal. Now we can get it in every room of the house. It sometimes lags depending on how many people are on it, but it definitely helped make a difference.

The one thing I don't like is that Samsung chose to make it along the lines of an IPHONE, you cannot take the back off to remove the battery if necessary. I own a Samsung Galaxy S5 and it will freeze up. The only solution to this problem is for me to remove and reinsert the battery. I just pray this new phone doesn't have the same issues with freezing up because if it does your pretty much screwed. Other than that it seems fine.

I have a Comcast account. My 2nd home is close enough to an Xfinity (Comcast) "hotspot" so I can pick up the signal in one corner of the house. Can I connect this product to the "hotspot"?

Yes definitely. We have no internet at all. Then a wonderful neighbor gave us their password. At first we could only get signal in a room closest to their house and it was hit and miss. I bought this extender now we can get it through the whole house. And they live across the street and 3 houses down from us.

what is the maximum coverage area? it does not say. trying to draw comparison to other models

Not 100% sure but we don't have internet but a neighbor 3 houses down and across the street gave us their internet password and after purchasing this item we can get it throughout our whole house. We couldn't before. Of course it may lag on us slightly at times depending how many of us are using it at the same time. But it's not too bad and a small inconvience for totally free internet.

Hope I can explain want to buy wireless security camera system I want to be able to use my smart phone so I need wi-fii I need a router and my router is upstairs and I don't want to run wires up the wall will extender solve this problem
