I use this all the time with my Nikon D3200 for anything further than 10 feet or so away. It captures great detail and is great for a beginner photographer.

I use this bag to carry around my Nikon D3200 Camera and it's extra distance lens. It fits all the extra cables I have as well as the battery charger for the camera and the inside flap is adjustable so you can make sure your camera has a snug fit to avoid damage.

This camera has been absolutely great! I don't have any background experience in photography but when we had our daughter I decided that I wanted to dabble in it a little so I had all of our best memories in beautiful pictures. The auto mode is great to start and I've branched out and learned so much more from the other modes just taking it with me everywhere and playing with the settings. The images turn out crystal clear, the details are amazing, and we've even had them blown up to put on the wall with no issues at all. I couldn't have asked for a better camera or an easier interface to use starting out and I have some pretty amazing photos of our little girl that we'll cherish forever.

Does the lens work well in gymnasiums?

I own a D3100 that I love, but I have never purchased a zoom lens. The lens will be used outside a great deal, but will also be used to take photos of basketball games indoors. I have read that this lens is not the best in low-light. Just need some help defining "low-light" for this lens. The lens that came with my camera works pretty well in lower light situations. Just trying to figure out if this is what I am needing and wanting. Thanks so much for your help. :)
I've used this in a gym before and my pictures still turn out great. You just have to adjust your settings for the lighting.
