What's great about it: adding second monitor to iMac/PCs
What's not so great: nothing
I bought this product looking for a cheaper alternative to add a second monitor to my iMac. Also I realize that my work laptop include the Mini-display port.
I didn't have any problems using, everyting work smothly and I'm still happy.

What's great about it: Apple prestige
What's not so great: unsupported for latest iMac
I bought this product expecting to have a good interaction with my iMac which I bough last year, then I realize that this apple remote required IR and my iMac didn't have it.
Then I read in some blogs people complaining about the fact that apple decided to remove IR from latest iMac products.
Very desapointed to apple.
I would recommend this product if you have IR in your Mac.

I tried first this product but I experienced a lot of slowness and blinking screens.
I was planning to use it in my laptop work increasing to 3 screens, 2 monitor, + the laptop's monitor.
I didn't like the first experience, and the blinking was annoying. It was also slow and sometimes was getting freeze. I decided to return it and get another product.

What's great about it: The product work well, a few bugs but overall well
What's not so great: Blinking and sometimes slowness
I bought this product to be more productive using my work laptop with other 2 Monitors, because I was planning to have 3 Monitors.
I reviewed the product and I decided to use because its support USB 3.0.
During the installation I didn't have problems, and it started working well.
I found some error messages regarding the drivers, but that only happen when I turn on, or I change from charger to battery. besides that the error message doesn't bother me.
I experienced some blinking in the monitors, I guess it is because performance. I have lenovo core i5 4gb ram. and if I'm using intensively, it crashes and I have to restart the laptop removing the power. I suspect this is also because of the performance of the laptop.
I tested in iMac, drivers where not a problem, but I didn't tested harder than my work laptop.
Overall it is a good product.

Is this MiniDisplay port the same as the one on the Surface Pro 2?
Based on this website: http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/getting-started/surface-pro-2-features it says that it has mini-display port. In that case it should work.

Will this work with a surface pro 3 docking station?
If you have the port I guess it will work.
