I have cable but do not have box, only coax to back of set. can unit operate as if antenna connection. I can still connect to internet.

Is this Roku wifi only?

I bought the Roku stick and returned it the same day. I have great high speed internet service, but spent more time looking at "loading" and "buffering" screens than I spent watching actual content. My cable internet is more than fast enough, but have found wifi streaming to be a nightmare.

Does Roku has an ethernet slot or is it wifi only?

Roku 3 or 4 will perform best for your situation

Does this Roku come with the cords to connect it to an older standard definition TV? If not, what cords does it come with and what would I need to buy to make it compatible?

No connection cords included so you will need composite connection cords.

does the model 2710SE have an ethernet port

No however it foes an excellent job streaming wirelessly !

Does it support Amazon Prime?

I have Amazon Prime and my 2014 smart TV does not support it, I Want Amazon Prime!
When Netflix started removing really great movies for instant viewing (like " April Morning" one of the best movies I have ever seen) I got interested in Amazon Prime ( yes " April Morning" is available there) .

Yes it does and much more than any smart TV out there other than a Roku TV.

Does this Roku model support the wireless headphones remote?

Only the Roku 3 & 4 however you can buy the remote that does separately from Roku.
