I like fast machines, so you know where I'm coming from. I feel that the bottle neck on this one is the hard drive. It's a very capable machine for a large percent of users. The big windows updates take a while. It boots fairly quickly though. For the price you really can't complain. Compared to other machines at the same price I would certainly recommend this one.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Good picture, good sound. I have 2 last-year model Samsung TVs, this-year model TV does all of the stuff they do just fine. The big one for me is being able to play DLNA sources. I rip my DVDs and CDs to walk I call the media server, then play them disc-less directly from the TV. While it can handle wireless I prefer hardwired networks, which moth year models have. The GUI is also responsive.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Will I be able to stream Brighthouse live TV?

There isn't enough information in the question. It won't stream the signal back out, it is the destination. If you want to know if it will play the stream from some other device then you need to list that device.

It does have audio out (sending the audio to a stereo / surround sound / sound bar).

What's in it for me?

I can't figure out which TV to by. One of my other choices is the Sony W600 Series. What can this Samsung TV have above other TVs (including the Sony) in regards to Gaming and watching Movies?

My person feeling is "Never give Sony money". That said I don't know the W600. Samsung has a Game Mode that focuses on a faster refresh. It has an option to set if you're using the TV as a monitor (so the full desktop fits in the frame. Overscan or something like that). It streams files from your media center computer effortlessly. If hangs on a generic wall mount. The remote is nice. It handles Netflix, Amazon Movies, etc, but I figure most should do that nowadays. I have a few different models. I really like the Samsung TV line.

Is closed captioning availableon this model?

I'm fairly certain the answer is Yes. I believe all of the Samsung smart TVs have it.

Does the Amazon Instant app on this model support Amazon Prime video sources?

Mr. Samsung reported that the Amazon Instant app was supported on this set. But I've seen recently the newer models support Amazon Instant app, but have removed support for Amazon Prime video sources. I need to know for certain that Amazon Prime video sources are supported before I buy.

Yes, Amazon Prime Instant works just fine on it. I just got the latest software update a few days ago and it hasn't broken.

What are the dimensions of the stand for this TV?

I can see that the depth of the stand is 12.13 inches, but I need the width of the stand to see if it will fit on our current cabinet.

The stand is 12.5 x 26.25 by my rough measurement. The TV is obviously wider.
