Great for music when working out / cleaning / etc. Not good for watching video due to Bluetooth lag.

What's great about it: 4 tuners, extra storage
What's not so great: No wireless streaming
As a long time TiVo user, Roamio is the best I've had. I like the 4 tuner setup and the extra storage, and the software is far less buggy than on the Premiere.
Pro tip: the CableCard installs in a completely enclosed compartment. Make sure you get the serial # off of it before you install it! or you're going to have a long awkward silence with the cable company when you call them.
My main complaint is about streaming shows from one TV to another. I have a wireless network with more than enough bandwidth to handle it, and the Roamio has built-in WIFi, yet TiVo has elected to explicitly disable streaming over wireless. I was able to stream wirelessly between 2 Premiers just fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Great picture and sound
What's not so great: You pay extra for useless 3D
I love this TV - by far the best I've owned. The virtual surround is excellent, and at least for our size room, a sound bar isn't remotely necessary. The volume is plenty loud enough at 20-30 with no sign of distortion. The picture is extremely crisp and a pleasure to watch. It complements our Xbox One nicely.
My only complaint is one of marketing. I bought this TV for its great picture and sound.. and it comes with a 3D feature that I pay extra for and don't care about and will never use.

How well does this work with FIOS? Can I eliminate my FIOS DVR?
Should work with fios as well as any cable company.

Can I watch any other TV program while recording 4 separate programs?
Also, do I need a special card if I've gotten rid of my Comcast Cable box?
You need an mcard CableCard from Comcast. Probably $2/mo from them.
It has 4 tuners, so if you're recording 4 shows simultaneously and don't want to watch any of them, you can watch something you've previously recorded, but you can't watch a 5th live show.

Is there a monthly fee for tv roamio dvr just to record shows on free tv with an antena, no cable?
Yes. The fee is mainly for their guide data, which keeps track of when shows are on, which ones are new / reruns, follows them around if they change day / time / channel, etc. Can't schedule recordings without it.

can you hook it up to SAT????
I would like to record programs that i miss due to being sick?
There's a special one from directtv you can use if they are your satellite provider. Standard roamio won't work. No tivo available for dish network.
