There are lots of other HDMI cables available but I opted for the Rocketfish for enhanced quality.

Am not much of a "techie," but had no problem connecting the player to the TV. Five minutes, and ready to go! Playback quality is excellent for the price.

Is this TV considered Direct TV Ready?

Can you use this television with Direct TV without having to hook up a Direct TV Genie wireless mini? If not, what Sony TVs are "Direct TV Ready"?
