I got this device because I wanted to be able to utilize my Amazon Prime account, which the Google Stick does not offer. So I am extremely pleased with what I have purchased. Love the fact that my TV can power the device. No additional cables needed. Hooray!

With stick is it always on or when you turn off TV with Fios wand and box does the stick turn off too Does stick need to reboot each time you turn

If you power the roku via the usb port on your TV then it will turn off with the TV. Logic then follows that when you turn the TV on it would then need to boot up.

What apps or websites can you access with this stick? Is amazon prime accessible? HBO GO?
Showtime anytime? ??? I bought a smart tv recently and discovered that NOT all are created equal. Not every app is available.

The Roku has more channels than most of its competitors.
HBO GO, Amazon Prime, and Showtime Anytime are just a few. They just added Google Play to the lineup.

That depends on your TV, is it easy for you to switch back and forth between inputs?

Are local channels accessible through Roku?

No. There is no HDTV antenna on this device. You can only get what is available via streaming.

There is no internal battery. It is powered thru the provided micro usb cable. You can choose though, if you want to plug it into your wall, with the supplied AC adapter. Or, you can power it via the usb service port located on your HDTV.

Does The Roku Streaming Stick have the same number of channels as the other Roku products?

Same service, same number of channels. The remote does not come with a headphone port like the 2 & 3 do. Also, the 3 is the only one that is designed to allow you to play the games that Roku hosts.

The 1,2, & 3 all offer you an RJ-45 port so that you can run a physical line to the box. Also those models give you an infrared control, so you can utilize a universal remote.

Yes. The HDMI-DVI port is just labeled so for those who wish to connect a computer to the TV. It is still a fully functional HDMI port.

Do I need to purchase a separate power source for the Roku streating stick?

No, the streaming stick comes with an AC-to-USB adapter, but can also be powered by the USB service port on your TV.
