What's great about it: it doesn't have to warm up
What's not so great: controls can be a little hard to get used to
Once you get used to the controls for time and temperature you can cook, bake or broil anything you would do in a regular oven. The time to cook is about the same without the warm-up or excessive heat.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you use aluminum foil in it?

One review I read stated that you cannot use aluminum foil---true or not?

I have no dishwasher, so this would make a difference for me!
I use tin foil in it . It,s just a convection oven. Use tin foil on the grill only. Don't use foil to line the pans. They clean up easily w/ soap and water.

Can this toaster oven sit on top of our microwave oven when in use?

Due to limited kitchen counter space, we will need to sit this toaster oven on top of our microwave oven. Is this a safe practice?
