My receiver died and this was a perfect replacement. It's made specifically to work with Samsung TV's. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but worth the extra money because it syncs easily and there's no need to search for a code. If you're willing to go through numerous codes and have tons of patience, then you can find less expensive models.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loved my previous Motorola headset, but it wasn't made well and after a year or so wouldn't open and close properly. Bought this one as a replacement. It's one of the few left that doesn't need to go in your ear. It rests on top of the ear and I prefer this. The sound is good and the charge lasts quite a while. I do get complaints at times that the person on the other end can't hear me well, but I think that's my carrier's (Verizon) problem. I can hear the other person perfectly.
The "flip" part of this new headset works perfectly and is made much better than the previous models. I don't think it will break down like the last one.
There is one small issue, Motorola used to give you different sized pieces that fit over the ear. They still do, but they're all too large for me. Luckily, I had saved the one from my original headset. If I lose it, it will be a big problem. I wish they would put the small size back in the set.

Is this Moto as fragile as some claim it to be?

To purchase this Moto only to have the boom piece break off, even while being constantly fragile with it, seems to be a waste of money...am I correct in assuming that? Is the boom piece really that flimsy?

My previous Motorola did have a flimsy boom piece, but this one doesn't seem to have that problem. It feels quite secure, but I've only had it about a month. Only time will tell. It is definitely an improvement over previous models. If you do encounter a problem, you can always return it and get something else.
