Turtle Beaches are the best out of the headsets I have used. However I have had one go bad and had to get a replacement. Best Buy has an amazing replacement plan. Bring in the defective product and they will give you an exchange or gift card for the amount you paid, no questions asked.

Do I need to buy to anything else with it to make it work?
No, but I would recommend 2 sets of rechargeable AAA batteries. 1 set to use and 1 set on standby. You will be changing them about 8-10 hours or so.

can you use a pair of Turtle Beach wireless headphones on xbox 360 and xbox one
There are certain models of Turtle Beaches you can use on both. However you will need to buy an adapter for your xbox 1 with the ones that work on both systems.
