This is not the first one of these I've purchased. It's a superior product. I'm usually very responsible but sometimes we make mistakes, this product does not like the washing machine!! Ha,,,Ha,,,, It happened my mistake, so I upgraded. Glad I did, this one is even better.

What's great about it: Compatible with both Mac and PC
What's not so great: Needs optional feet to stick on side for use that way, picky me
This is a value oriented product. Lots of space at a great price, USB 3 speed, I formatted it in EXFAT so I can use it with both platforms, PC and Mac. I store my hi res music on it and access speed to it is great.
I will highly recommend this product for file storage.

What's great about it: Audio is astounding! Video is well worth it
What's not so great: Unlikely plot, a one time watch
Don't watch on a home TV without a sound system that is capable of serious surround sound! 3-D is amazing and a must. Small screen does not do it justice, 46" minimum. I haven't watched the DVD extras yet so I will not comment.

What's great about it: Just what I was looking for
What's not so great: Steep price for a keyboard but does what's promised
Has a learning curve that will take time to learn. Seems to have great battery life. I think it goes into sleep to save the battery if not used which is good because I always forget to turn it off. Glad it has an off/ on switch.

HDMI splitter is not working with two HDTVs
I have two Isignia tvs. One has resolution of 1080p and the other has the same or 1080i.
It's properly set up; however, only one tv shows video (i have both on and connected). For cable box, I have time warner. I have tried switching the outputs from 1 to 2 for both to see if that would work, but no success.

TW wants their money. They don't allow you to split their signal unless you pay, nice guys! The splitter will allow you to stream video to two TVs from a DVD or Blu Ray player but not from the cable Co.

Confused
I have 1 HDMI hook up left on my TV. I would like to be able to hook up both a PS4 and a Blue Ray player. Is this used for that or do I need something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
How many HDMI inputs does it have? Do you own an AVR? It could be used to plug all of your HDMI inputs into.

Unable to locate chromcast siginal on Sony TV
I've used the splitter to add a Chromcast dongle to my Sony TV, but unable to locate a siginal on the TV for the Chromcast. Instructions say to change the "Input settings until you are able to locate" a Chromcast siginal. Have tried changing the antenna, siginal source ( of a limited number of specified stations/channels, and about every other setting I can find with no success. Where can I locate the siginal?
Use as with instead of a splitter. It should work then. You will have to select which product you want to use but you can't use them both at the same time anyway.

Dolby Digital pass through
I am using a splitter to split signal from by fios settop box. One cable goes to my Denon 4520 AVR and the other goes directly to my LG led (42LS5700). I have a cable that goes from my AVR to the TV as well. When using the splitter I get sound but will not pass DD through to AVR. If I connect cable directly from my set top box to AVR I get DD (not using the splitter). Opinions on how to resolve?
I would run everything through the Denon only, with only one HDMI cable going to the TV. To watch TV through the cable box just select the cable input, you don't have to power the Denon on, just use it as a switch. The Denon needs to be in stand-by mode and not completely off. Look in the Denon users manual to find this. Works fine for my AVR which is a Yamaha but that fact doesn't matter.

Hoping to use to connect tv to both Cox box and new Roku
I am using an older sony tv with only one hdmi (kdl-46s2000). I am hoping to hook up both the scientific Atlanta explorer 8240-HDC from cox cable and a new ROKU-3. I bought the Rocketfish 2-way HDMI Splitter and set it up. Right now, I have a roku-1 hooked up but for some reason it only works when it is hooked up with BOTH the hdmi and the av cables. When I remove either connection, the tv doesn't see the ROKU-1. I just received the ROKU-3 as a gift and want to use it instead (it has earbuds). I tried to connect it using only the hdmi and my tv doesn't see it. the Roku-3 doesn't have slots for the av cables.
I would think that you need a switch and not a splitter. A switch is just that, you could use one or the other so the signal would not be split or less of a full signal. I'd give that a try, if it doesn't work, just return the splitter

Getting 3D pass through to work
I have a 3D TV, a 3D DVD Player, a 3D capable Direct TV receiver, and a Denon non 3D AVR. What do I need to be able to watch 3D movies and still use the Denon for surround sound? I bought this 2 way splitter thinking it would split the HDMI Monitor so that I could use the TV for display, but it didn't work. All I got was audio. Do I need a 3 way splitter? A Switcher? I only have one HDMI input going to the TV because it is mounted on the wall and there is only one HDMI outlet on the wall so I am unable to plug any additional HDMI cords into the TV itself. I had it connected through the Denon at one point and was able to see a 3D movie with surround sound, but then I could not get the display to go back to direct TV. All I got was sound. Any ideas? Maybe a 3 way splitter?
You may want to try a powered splitter. Plug the feed into the input and the output to 1) TV, 2) receiver. See if that will work. If not, BB will be fine with you returning it. Ask a salesman in the A/V section and tell them what you are going to try, this way if it doesn't work it will be even easier to return.
You may be loosing the signal because it's not strong enough, that's why you want a powered splitter. Oh yes, it's a Rocketfish model # RF-G1182.
