Using this as a network backup device by connecting it to my Netgear Nighthawk router via USB. Plenty of space and fast enough for background backups. Haven't tried it yet as a media server, but plan to in the future. If you need a general purpose storage/backup device, this should do the job.

What's great about it: AC/N Support, Guest Network, Allows me to receive max speeds from my ISP
What's not so great: Nothing
So far (about a month in), this router is outperforming any and all previous "stock" routers I have ever owned. I have had zero issues with it, and everyone in the house loves the new found performance increases via wifi on their smartphones, tablets, laptops, and gaming rigs. If I had any negatives about it at all, it would be that because of what it is capable of, and to use all of it's features, it took some time to learn and adjust all the possible settings and configurations available. We have over 25 devices configured on our private home network and another dozen or so on the guest network. Our setup consists of this router with a Motorola SB6141 cable modem and Comcast 50/10 Blast package. I can happily say that this setup never hangs or slows down during our heavy use like previous ones we have had.

What's great about it: 3D effects are about as good as they get
What's not so great: None that I can think of
I had already seen this movie twice, once at the theater and once on DVD at home. But when purchasing a new 3D Panasonic Plasma, I asked the salesman to recommend me the best 3D movie out there and he said Avatar.
Really enjoyed watching it yet a third time in 3D. Made the experience even more enjoyable than the first two times, even if I already knew how it ended.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Glass stand that was strong enough for a 60" plasma as well as multiple components
What's not so great: No way that we found to "lock" the glass shelves into place
The one we purchased was a display model so got it for a great price, but a few "pieces" were obviously missing so can's say whether a complete unit would have the same issues.
The stand looked great and functioned the same but we were missing a couple of rubber sleeves that covered the pegs the shelves sat on which made them slide out of the slots they seated in too easily. Just barely moving components around to dust made the center shelf fall.
On the upside however, after falling 4 different times WITH components on it, the glass shelves never broke, cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged themselves which says a lot about the strength of the glass shelf itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do these drives work with any operating system? I use Windows 7.

I have had mine connected 2 different ways. Once was to plug it directly into my Windows 7 pc and the other was to use it as a network device via my Netgear router and now backing up 2 separate pc's. Worked just fine either way. HTH.
