Always get new dryer Vents when you purchase a new dryer. You want to make sure the vent fits properly so as to not damage your dryer and to help with proper drying of your clothes.

I bought this machine based on budget the fact it was not an HE washer and that it still had an agitator. I had to get use to the fact that it does not use a lot of water. Even the super load only use a small portion of water. It does get my clothes clean. It is really quiet. You only hear the click of the agitator when it is adjusting the load. I do wish it had a load a spot for the detergent so that when you use the precise water fill mode it could mix the detergent in better. So I just always use a manual load. Another thing is you can't change from a manual water load mode to the precise mode it will drain all the water and start over. So know what you want before you start. The drum of the washer is huge and deep. I like that. Overall it is a great washer. I probably should have stayed simple and got the matching dryer. Good product and great price.

I like the dryer. The lint area is smaller than my last dryer and it does make a difference. That is something I had never thought about before. Also the steam functions are nice. I just wish it had a heat tumble option after the steam dewrinkle option because I am noticing that my clothes are damp when using that option. The steam refresh option does not seem to do that. I wouldn't think the clothes would be damp when you are done. So then I have to run them through a heat option for about 10 minutes to make sure they are dry. The first day I did it I really didn't have the time for it. I did not see that that would be a problem in manual.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Delicate Cycle

I am attempting to choose between 2 GE machines and am trying to compare the Light cycle on another machine to the delicate cycle on this one. Does the Delicate cycle on this machine (GHWN425DWW) "agitate" less often/ provide fewer strokes per minute, or move at a slower speed than the other cycles on this machine? Is the spin slower on Delicate than on the other cycles? If a GE tech could give me some numbers, that would be a real bonus ..... Thanks ~~
I am not a GE Tech but I do have the machine. The delicate cycle will agitate slower and the spin cycle is just like the other spin cycles. This machine also has a hand wash cycle for your really precious items. It will agitate really slow during that cycle and the spin cycle is the same as the others. Good luck with your decision.

Second/Third Rinses

I am trying to decide which new washing machine to buy. My family has detergent allergies, so with my current auto sensing washer I frequently have to re-rinse my clothes a second or even third time. I see that this machine has a power rinse which may help. But, if my clothes STILL need another rinse, is there a way to do that on this machine? Is there a way to run JUST a rinse?
Yes, you can do a quick rinse or set it up for a 2nd rinse during the wash cycle. I like those options and it will auto soak the clothes also.

Just purchase this model. Would it be wise to buy the extended warranty?

I actually did not purchase it this time. The last time I did the machines did not have any problems until after the warranties had expired. You have to do what is best for you. On other kinds of products I do recommend it though.
