I really want the Criterion version of this movie as released on Blu ray, however, I'm also "cheap", waiting for used copies to drop below $15 shipped. In the meantime, I'm happy to upgrade my DVD version of this movie to this Blu ray edition - it may be lacking in special features, but for me for now that's OK. David Fincher's vision for his movies is again clearly seen and felt in this one. I always find Michael Douglas easily watchable in all his films, especially this one, seems like a role tailor-fit just for him.

I'm trying to watch all the movies based on Michael Crichton books. So many are great (Jurassic Park, West World), and I had high hopes for this one too, but it just felt so slow for me now to watch, though yes, the plausibility and reality factors for this "alien invasion" movie are totally believable - and it did lead me to some interesting philosophical thoughts. I do appreciate the improved image quality of the Blu Ray disc (vs. DVD). Rated G but there is some brief nudity. My noted bias is that I usually enjoy all types of sci-fi movies.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So some of the computer technology is dated, but the wonderful actors and interesting plot of this often neglected 90s action (suspense thriller) movie, make it still enjoyable to watch. The team dynamics in this movie provide great chemistry amongst all the actors. The Blu Ray is an improvement over the DVD, and I'm glad to add it to my collection.

The first Speed was great, and helped launch Sandra Bullock's career. I appreciated the PG-13 rating of the sequel (versus the R of the first), but I miss Keanu Reeves's character. I do like having this Blu Ray edition (with improved picture vs. DVD) to complete my Speed collection.

What's great about it: basically the same dimensions as 2 or 1 TB drives
I trust Western Digital for all my storage drive needs. I'm not so keen on the reliability of Toshiba ones. 3.0 USB compatability these days is standard on new WD portable drives.
This product has... Reliable, Attractive design/portable, Quiet, Large capacity/good size

Yes. Can't run off just the power from USB. Must also you AC adapter and plug in this drive.

Does WD stand for Western Digital. AC powered Hard Drives are faster than just USB?

Yes, WD stands for Western Digital.

Power is power, no matter the source. What controlls speed is USB 2.0 vs. 3.0 connections/cables, how quick the discs spin, and how much buffer storage of drive/computer.

I personally though prefer to see my power coming frmo an AC source ... I don't like the current drawing so much power from my expensive tower while also trying to pass data along the same cable.
