I'm not sure how long ago you purchased your track ball but if you contact support they may be able to send you a replacement, tell them the receiver no longer functions. I had my Unifying receiver go out and they were very helpful and sent me a replacement. You can of course simply buy a replacement receiver or if you have another wireless device which uses the Unifying dongle you can add the trackball to the the same Unifying receiver.
