My one annoyance is that Samsung indicates that detergent pods are not for this washer, however, I've been using them with no problem.
Other than that, it seems to work quite well

Notwithstanding Samsung's product troubles, this dryer works very well. I do need o figure out, however, how to mute the annoying "songs" that signal completion.

How many inches should I add for the washer measurement from the back wall? My water connections are recessed in the wall now but the hoses will take more space and I'm not sure how much more.

This dryer will be placed against a bedroom wall, I need to know if it is quiet?

Since there is a steam feature, does that mean the unit has to be connected Ted to a water line?

is it hinged left or right? can it be changed?
The door ing on the dryer is reversible. Not so on the washer, so I'm stuck with having to move the dryer to the right side and the washer on the left, even though my plumbing is on the right.
While I could reverse the dryer door, given the washer's door not being able to be moved, it would still project between the two machines when open, (I'd not have to deal with two door projecting out in the middle when open) if I don't reverse the machines

Side vent installation
Has anyone installed the side vent kit? I've watched videos that depict dryers being completely disassembled and others that just open up part of the machine. Curious how the install for the side vent kit would work for this particular model. I've got the gas version and I think it can only vent to the left, which is the direction I'd need it anyways.
I'm going to do this, since both the washer and dryer need to be put on a pedestal and I want to get them closer to the back wall. My plan, actually, is to vent through the bottom into the pedestal and then out to the side. Everything that I've seen on the web indicates that this can be done with the standard side vent kit. I have seen this machine vented through the side on the left and, purportedly there is a kind of "knock out" in the left panel that allows side venting. I don't know how much of a hassle, however, that might turn out to be.
