I was able to pick one of these TV's up for $230. For this price I am very pleased with the picture quality, screen size, and connection options. I was not worried about getting a smart TV, as this is being used for a bedroom television with a Chromecast connected for streaming content, primarily Netflix. The USB port also allows the Chomecast to turn on and be powered when the TV is on. Picture quality is surprisingly good for a lesser known name brand. While the speakers lack dept, they are no worse than most flat screen televisions today. They do however get quite loud. We typically leave the volume at around 4 or 5 which is plenty loud. Overall a good buy if you can get it for sub $250.

I was a huge TMNT fan when I was a child. It is wonderful to relieve those days with this copy of the movie. However, I could easily leave the '90's music and fake fighting sounds, haha. A great starting point for young ones who would like to see how the Turtles have evolved over the years, up to the recent television shows and blockbuster movie.

The Chromecast is the perfect device for sending content to a TV, especially if you are a Google/Android user. We use it to stream Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, Google Play Music, and Play Movies. It is as simple as tapping the Cast button on an enabled device, such as our Samsung Galaxy S4, iPad 2, Acer Chromebook, and HP laptop. The only reason it does not receive 5 stars is because sometimes the casting freezes and the device needs to be unplugged and plugged back in. However, as Google updates the device, it continues to become more stable and feature rich.

What's great about it: Stylish design, Powerful sound for smaller speakers
What's not so great: Limited documentation on setting up receiver/remote
** This is the same review as my Yamaha - 575W 5.1-Ch. 3D / Smart Home Theater System review (Yamaha YHT-599UBL). I upgraded to the 575W system for the network capabilities. Other than that, both systems are identical.**
Overall this is a good purchase for the price. You are provided with all the components you need to to have a full functioning surround sound set up.
While the speakers are small, they are able to get quite loud without distortion. The center speaker enhances voices in movies and reduces the need to adjust the volume when going between a quite conversation scene and action scenes.Speakers sound better for movies than music.
Overall you get good bang for your buck if you are on a tighter budget and need a system with limited space. In our case we redid our fireplace mantle and did not want huge floor speakers taking away from our design. The speakers fill our 15ft x 30ft living room with ease and sound great for movies.
The only drawback is the set provides limited instructions for setting up and adjusting audio/video settings. However, it is easy enough to cruise through the settings if you are willing to take the time. I was able to program the receiver remote to control our LG TV.

**Note** I purchased this set because of the network capabilities, specifically Spotify. Keep in mind that to use some of these features you need to update the receiver's firmware.

No. The system includes about 50 feet of fairly thin speaker wire. This was not nearly enough for our setup for running wires to the back of our living room (about 30 feet back from the receiver). I ordered thicker guage wire off of Amazon to complete the setup. All 5 speakers connect to the back of the receiver using standard speaker wire. The subwoofer is also wired.

What is the difference between this model 40H3 and a similar one 40H3C?
The biggest differences are the available inputs and the design of the stand. The Hisense 40H3C has two "legs" that the TV rests on, with 3 HDMI inputs. THe 40H3 has a single base at the center of the TV and has only 2 HDMI ports, but also has a DVI port which the C does not.

Local TV is broadcast free over the air, meaning all you would need is an antenna. Keep in mind that this signal is now digital, and if you do not have a digital converter build into your TV (most fairly current HDTV's have this built in) you I'll need a separate converter box.
On the other hand, if you are able to stream the local channels on your computer, the following items would be needed: A computer, HD TV with at least one HDMI port, high speed Internet, and a wireless router. The Chromecast and streaming device communicate with one another over the wireless Internet signal in your summer home. It is recommended to have high speed in order to view the video content without buffering or an extremely grainy image.
On the other hand, if you are able to stream the local channels on your computer, the following items would be needed: A computer, HD TV with at least one HDMI port, high speed Internet, and a wireless router.
