Very good functionality. Not as robust as my Ultimate, but also a quarter of the price. If it had the recharging capability of the now-discontinued 700 & 750, I would give it 5 stars.

Beware - No IR function from remote

There is NO IR function from the remote. Not being able to control your TV from your new remote is idiotic. I have found that you can run an emitter back to the TV from the Blaster Hub to control it. However, if you are going to have to run IR emitters to the TV, you are better off getting a better programmable remote and a separate repeater. I would have given this 1 star, but the hub and app work well. Not taking into account the lack of IR functionality, I would give this combo 4.5 stars.

Earlier Version

We have this remote which we bought around 5 years ago. It is glitchy and does not work well to say the least. Looking on all the websites, it seems that this remote is one of the best universals out there. Has anyone had an earlier version of this model and noticed improvements with this one? Could we have just gotten a lemon? I am hesitant to buy the same model since we have had so much trouble with our current one. Thanks!
I have installed quite a few 650's over the past few years and have had no issues. I would give it 4.5 stars. Not having the (discontinued) 700's recharging ability is the only reason for removing 1/2 a star. The 650 is by far the best bang for the buck.
As a side note: I think I remember have to reprogram a few 750's every once in a while, but that has been about 6-8 years ago.
